Explore ATDP — A Summer Opportunity at UC Berkeley:
Deep Dive Learning Without Breaking the Bank
Each summer, UC Berkeley's Academic Talent Development Program (ATDP) invites curious, motivated students to engage in academically rich coursework in a university-level environment. This is your chance to explore a subject in depth, connect with peers from around the world, and gain meaningful academic experience.
This non-boarding program is structured into two divisions for students completing grades K through 11. The Secondary Division (Grades 7–11) runs for 6 weeks (estimated June 22 – July 31, 2026) with both in-person and remote options. The Elementary Division (Grades K–6) runs for 3 weeks (estimated July 13 – July 31, 2026) and is in-person only. ATDP offers exceptional academic value at a very competitive cost; the estimated program fees ranged from USD 750 to 1,250 in 2025. The full details and cost for the 2026 program are expected to be released by early January, so stay tuned!

It’s about time to apply to summer programs overseas.
Lots of secondary schools or universities/ colleges in the U.S., Canada, U.K., and other countries offer different types of summer programs for teenaged students or even younger ones. Here we listed different types of programs and advantages of participating in summer programs.
It’d be best to apply by March as most of the deadlines fall in March or April. Moreover, the competitive/ popular ones, like Andover, Phillips Exeter, Stanford or Harvard, might be full as early as February.
